ABOUT THE ARTIST

EICK ART is the creative practice of Chloe Eick, a multidisciplinary artist based in Louisiana, where memory lingers in objects and stories live in the land. Growing up surrounded by antiques, heirlooms, and the quiet magic of Southern rituals, I developed a fascination with the coastal iconography and the emotional terrain of the pas. How something as simple as a locket, a shell, or a faded photograph could hold entire worlds.
That early intimacy with relics raised me to create art that weaves together painting, found objects, and symbolic materials. Through oil, assemblage, and mixed media, EICK ART aims to explore themes of nostalgia, mythology, and transformation.
Much of my work is rooted in coastal landscapes and personal mythologies, with recurring motifs to serve as portals to memory, meaning, and ritual. My process is both intuitive and intentional, often beginning with an emotion, a vintage texture, or a symbolic form. The result is work that feels at once intimate and otherworldly—contemporary pieces that echo the past, and invite viewers into spaces that feel sacred, strange, and familiar all at once.
EICK ART is ultimately a practice of honoring the mystical in the mundane—painting as preservation, assemblage as ceremony. I create not just images, but emotional relics—modern heirlooms that reflect the beauty, complexity, and quiet hauntings of the Southern soul.
